Church Involvement

In building partnerships, Visionledd seeks to grow the values that fall in line with the following:

1. The mandate that partnership exists because of shared values
2. Communication is core to successful partnerships
3. We are intentional about building long term relationships
4. Our goals in each partnership are built together

While the North American and African contexts are different, the call of Christ-followers is the same. In North America the Church must be mobilized out of its myopic comfort to share its resources, knowledge and skills. In Africa, Jim calls pastors and leaders to return to God in compassion and generosity. While our contexts are different, our call is the same.

Partnership opportunities

Church to church
Visionledd is able to link your congregation with a specific community of Christians in Africa. This introduction is the beginning of a relationship that will impact both communities. Upon introduction, both church communities will identify their goals and expectations, helping to build a relationship based on sharing.

Mission teams are able to build a bridge between the communities, offering skills, knowledge and resources directly to the community in Africa. More than that, as communities meet face-to-face, they are able to share their passion for Christ, transforming each one's perspectives.

Project-centric
Your church can get involved in mobilizing and transforming a community through specific Visionledd projects. Projects will be selected from current initiatives and monitored by Visionledd, ensuring effective use of resources.

Events and activities
Invite individuals in your congregation to sponsor a community. Each community we work with has specific goals that are created in partnership with the leaders in that community. Regular support ensures continual care and provides communities with health, education, food security, emergency aid and Christian growth.

Other event ideas include:

  • Host a Christmas Party! - This is a fantastic Christmas project for your church to engage in. By raising $35/child you can provide a Christmas dinner, games, songs and an educational pack for each child in a specific community in Africa!
  • Host a Mobilization Event - Jim Cantelon and other core Visionledd speakers from around the world are available to speak at your event. Invite us to facilitate an HIV/AIDS symposium to engage your congregation.
  • Have a Patch Party! - Get your small groups, children’s ministries and women’s groups involved. Using your creative genius, decorate a patch for an African blanket. Then pray for each patch, asking God to bless the child that will receive it.
